The Role

We are seeking a Senior Sales Development Representative to join our fast-paced team and take our sales efforts to the next level!

As a Senior Sales Development Representative, you will be a critical member of Rutter’s Go-To-Market team and be directly responsible for identifying and generating new sales opportunities, nurturing leads, and building relationships with potential clients. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns and strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.

To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. You should have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and a deep understanding of the sales development process. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also a must, as you will be building relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.

You’ll be working with a veteran GTM team, whose team members have previously built GTM functions from $1M through IPO.

You will:

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and nurturing new sales opportunities and working closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop and execute target outreach campaigns and strategies.

  • Create concise high quality messages that accurately reflect Rutter’s product offering and are up-to-date with latest learnings on what resonates with prospects for both outbound and inbound motions.

  • Focus on our newest product line: Accounting Integrations. You will become a subject matter expert in accounting workflows, ERP integrations, API design, and ultimately how we deliver organizational value for our customers.

  • Take a consultative selling approach by educating and advising customers on their e-commerce and accounting workflows.

  • Work closely with Product, Ops, and Engineering teams to share customer feedback and insights to build the best quality product.

  • Help contribute to the overall Go-To-Market strategy by making recommendations and presenting new ideas.

You have:

  • 1+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role

  • Experience in the B2B SaaS industry

  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quota

  • Ability to quickly learn the needs of customers we sell to i.e. conduct meetings and write detailed emails that are personalized to customer needs

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field

  • Familiarity with SDR tools, such as Outreach, ZoomInfo, Seamless, and Salesforce

  • Keen attention to details and high quality standards

You (ideally) also have:

  • Sold a highly technical product

  • Financial services or accounting domain expertise

  • Worked at an early stage company

Where we are, and where you’ll be:

We have a local office in Lower Manhattan. New York City based candidates are strongly preferred, but this position can be hired anywhere in the United States.

Compensation

  • If performed in New York or San Francisco, the total on-target earnings cash compensation range for this role is $84,906 to $110,022.

  • Our actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to you, including your skill set, years of experience, and geographic location.
